英文說明:Taiwanese men began wearing western style hats during the period of Japanese occupation. Initially, they wore headwear made out of woven rush. They gradually adopted felt hats constructed on sewing machines. The V-shaped tops, used to keep the hats snug on the head, were formed by a specially made press mold. Judging from its overall appearance, the felt hatband, and edgework, this specimen was a high-class model worn when going out.
